In 1905, the Passionist Community began a Novena in honor of St. Ann. Held in July of each year, it attracts thousands of pilgrims annually.

Situated on the ten-acre site are the Monastery, the Shrine Church (dedicated as a Basilica in 1997), the Stations of the Cross along the Memorial Walkway and the Grotto.
