The television series, “The Office” has been very, very good to Scranton, PA. Dunder Mifflin, the fictional paper company which employs the Office staff, is purportedly housed in this building.

In 1862 this building housed the main offices and shops of the Dickson Manufacturing Company’s Penn Avenue shops, where 1,200 craftsmen built steam locomotives.

This painting, in the style of America’s Precisionist Movement is an unashamed, commercial enticement for the thousands of tourists who visit here each year.
